Week Two – Day Two 2008

Our first week of camp went very well and all of the campers had a great time.  We are looking forward to six more weeks of a fun camp experience.  Tonight we are exited about a carnival in the middle of camp including volleyball, croquet, face painting, throwing sponges at a counselor’s face that is only visible through a hole in a Superman drawing and more!  We have another great week of activities planned.  Some pictures will be uploaded soon using the blazing speed of dial-up internet.

And the sun sets over the Camp Discovery Empire.

Camp is even more special than it looks in pictures. Spending my summers at camp makes me more thankful for so many of the things we take for granted. We just finished the summer, but I miss it already. Thanks Tennessee Jaycees for creating such a special place. PLEASE RECURIT MORE CAMPERS SO CAMP CAN STAY ALIVE. The staff who have been at camp a few summers really love the campers we serve.
